I studied design at the Complutense University of Madrid and I have a master’s in Innovation Design Management, which is a very fancy way of saying that I wanted to learn more about how to apply Design Thinking theory to business practices.
I am drawn by the potential of design to solve social problems
After I finished college I co-founded a social entrepreneurship project where I could work as a designer while fighting energy poverty.

Empathy
When I work in a project I like to get involved in its goals and understand their standpoint. I try to put myself in the shoes of clients and users so I can develop a solution that truly serves them.
Resilience
My experience with social entrepreneurship has taught me how to adapt to unexpected situations and make the best out of them.
Open mindness
I'm a naturally curious person, deeply engaged in the projects I tackle. They are opportunities to expand my knowledge in both familiar and unfamiliar fields.
If you speak Spanish you probably have figured this out by now, but for the non-spanish-speakers my surname (del Río) means of the river. Yeah, I know, I just couldn't help myself.
But if you asked me on a deeper level
I would tell you everything about the symbolism associated with a river and how it represents growth, constant evolution and renewal for different cultures. I could explain its relevance on a spiritual level and even tell you how fun and peaceful it is to be by a river. Let's just say that it is a very powerful image that helps me explain myself a bit better.
